Paving the Way Scholarship
Our scholarship program, Paving the Way, provides financial aid to Maine residents diagnosed with autism who are pursuing part-time or full-time education or vocational/technical training in any of the following areas:
Our applicants include talented students who face daily challenges related to autism. Our purpose is to help them become functioning independent adults through their pursuit of education.
To date, we have $6000 in available funds to award. Any Maine resident with a documented autism diagnosis who will be attending an institute of higher learning in the United States is eligible to apply. Proof of diagnosis from a licensed medical profession is required.
- a 4-year degree program at a college/university
- a 2-year associates degree
- a trade, technical, or vocational certification or license
- a cooperative Life Skills program
